Dominican Republic
July 29th, 2008When Derek asked if I had any interest in going to the Dominican Republic for a little spa/beach vacation it sounded too good to be true! The next thing we know Byrdie, Lyle, Derek, Max and I are on a plane down to the DR for a long weekend of sun and fun and birthday celebrations.
We really had no idea what to expect, our excitement grew as we pulled up to our gorgeous villa at Casa de Campo. Immediately we hopped on our golf carts and took a spin around the resort to get a lay of the land. Upon returning we found a tarantula friend in the kitchen, that’s right a mother fucking wild tarantula! Five kids from the city trying to deal with exotic wildlife was a site to be seen (don’t worry no one was harmed in the removal of it, including Spidey.) The following day we honed in on our acrobatic skills on the beach, drank coconut milk and rum straight out of the coconut and relaxed at the Cygalle Spa. The next day marked another year of life for me and we kicked off the festivities by shooting skeet clays, riding around the ocean on a banana boat, snorkeling and more spa treatments. I couldn’t have had a better birthday, the night concluded with dinner, choreographed dancing, swimming and fort building. Thanks for making the day so special guys! And also many thanks to Cygalle and Kim for making this amazing trip possible.
Onto the DR multimedia experience!
This is why your mother always said “no playing with balls in the house”
Max made a real video of the trip click HERE!

FUCK! THAT THING IS DISGUSTING!
Who was the brave soul who got close enough to take a photo? I’m surprised it didn’t lunge and eat your face.

Derek took photos, Max took video, Lyle called security (which never came because at the end of the day it is a spider) and I ushered it into a bag and took it out of the house and I have no idea where Byrdie went.
