TORONTO BOOK LAUNCH
September 7th, 2007Greg.K and I got here yesterday and the Toronto Film Festival is going on right now.
I’ve never been to Toronto, but lady K comes every year for the festival so we weren’t completely lost.
Canadians are the friendliest people, say what you will about them but they’re all good in my book. I’d never heard so many ‘please’ and ‘thank you’s’ and ‘sorry’s’ in my life! The only mean one I came across was a ninja bouncer that swooped in from the rafters when he saw me trying to light a cigarette.
Yesterday was our Toronto book launch party with Crystal Castels and Sebastien Grainger DJing along with Dragonette performing. My camera battery died so I don’t have any photos from that but believe me it was a very fun night. I know there was a photographer shooting there, someone called him the Canadian answer to Cobrasnake, didn’t catch his name though. So if you read this- photo guy, or know who I’m talking about let me know. I’d love to get up some pictures from that night to post.
The next day while we were in the immigration line at the airport and who should show up but a very hungover/still drunk Steve Aoki. He managed to stumble to his gate as it was closing and still made it on the flight.
