Mary… I desperately wanna make love to a school boy.
September 19th, 2008Finally- a good US Vogue cover! Rachel Weisz look phenomenal in one of my favorite looks for this Fall- and those Rodarte knits are just as stunning in real life as they are in pictures. This cover is an improvement from the recent covers, because it fashion forward without feeling so forced. Rachel looks great in this look, and it isn’t a look that the general populace of America has seen (save for the couple million Style.com subscribers), but she also look comfortable and somewhat natural or with the images on the inside she looks like a good actress playing a role. These women are not models, they don’t look the same contorted in weird poses and dressed in some over-the-top garb that is hugely billowed and/or ridiculously constrained. I mean, I’m just shocked sometimes how they can give Keira Knightley fat man in a skinny suit syndrome or look at Drew Barrymore’s 80s prom hair before she goes to sit for the cover and honestly tell her, “You look fantastic!” Needless to say, I am really pleased with the new found sensibility this cover is illustrating.
